Built a Process to Keep Teams Aligned and
Audit-Ready

When I joined this large organization, each product design team was using its own methods to plan, track, and report work. Without a shared structure, it was difficult to see progress, manage corrective actions, or stay prepared for compliance audits. What started as an efficiency problem quickly became a risk.

The Challenge

Without a consistent framework, teams worked in silos, making it hard to trace decisions or demonstrate compliance. Corrective action plans were scattered, and preparing for audits took far more time than necessary. The company needed a simple, scalable structure that supported accountability, traceability, and compliance across both hardware and software programs.

What I Did

I helped design and roll out a clear, step-by-step process that guided teams through every stage of product development, from early ideas to ongoing support. Each phase had defined checkpoints to make sure work stayed on track and decisions were documented.

Working with leaders in product management, design, and engineering, I clarified who was responsible for each decision and ensured every key action could be traced. This alignment not only improved teamwork but also met ISO certification standards. I became the point person for governance and compliance, helping teams understand the process and keep their documentation audit-ready.

The new framework brought structure, consistency, and accountability to complex projects, making it easier to manage risk and maintain compliance over time.
